Trivia[]
The services first opened in the 1980s and was home to a BP filling station and a Little Chef restaurant. The Little Chef opened in 1989/90 but it was unknown when BP had opened here, probably around the same time as the restaurant.
Surprisingly, the BP had closed in 2006/07 and the filling area was demolished. However, the shop was left to stand. The Little Chef carried on trading after the BP closed but it eventually closed in 2009 after owners at the time, RCapital had closed two underperforming Little Chefs, one of which was Guildford. The other casualty was the South Cave West branch at the West Cave Service Station on the A63 near Hull. This caused the site to lose its service station identity.
The Little Chef became an American Golf shop which is still operating today.
